(Read Part 1 Below)
December will be one of my favorite months of this year, and not just because of College Football bowl games and Christmas. December will feature fights between a few of my favorite fighters in UFC history. UFC on FOX will take place and air on Saturday, December 8th from Seattle, WA. What will make this fight great? Well, how fights between Benson Henderson (16-2-0) and Nate Diaz (16-7-0), “Shogun” Rua and Alexander Gustafsson, and BJ Penn and Rory MacDonald. I don’t mean to disrespect the rest of the card, but these three fights make this event one of the biggest and most anticipated fight cards of the year. I can’t wait for a future post on my fight picks for this night.
UFC on FX will also take place on Friday, December 14 and the The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale will take place one evening later on December 15th. Out of these two events, TUF 16 is definitely the one to catch if you can’t watch both. After what Roy “Big Country” Nelson (18-7-0) did to Dave Herman at UFC 146, I can’t wait to see him go up against Shane Carwin (12-2-0).
A Grand Finale for 2012: UFC 155
Say goodbye to the year 2012 with some Ultimate Fighting on December 29th. In the annals of MMA history, UFC 155 will be better known by its secondary name:
“Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II.” That is correct ladies and gentlemen! The fight we have been waiting for since Dos Santos knocked-out Velasquez at UFC on FOX (November 12, 2011) has finally been scheduled and the fans simply can’t wait.
The rest of the card for this fight is up on the UFC website, but I am pretty sure we will see that fight card change in the next couple months. However, we can be pretty certain that Dos Santos and Velasquez will get another chance to rumble in the Octagon. I will expand on my thoughts for this fight later on. For now, save the evening and tell your friends!
